School is dragging but after Sunday

I will be blissfully blogging away

For a good three weeks.

At 41, I am still figuring out life: my place in society, my career path, a family of my own, any many others things. Heck, I am still trying to make friends in California; a place I moved to 3 years ago. I am currently in a Community College to make up for the many years I missed school while in Africa (Uganda). I intend to transfer to university next year and double major in History and English. I lead a very ordinary life; a normal day is spent doing school assignments, hiking, or reading. My favorite thing to do is walk! Short walks or long walks it does not matter. Walking allows me to think about things - anything! My love of walking comes from where I grew up, a small village in northeastern Uganda. It is still one of the most remotest areas I will ever know, and couldn't even start comparing what life is like there to say a place like California. Walking was all I did while growing up! I walked for miles to school, to church, to the shops, to the borehole to fetch water, and to the market. It was quite an adventure unlike any other - so you now understand my love for walking.

  3. Do your schools not really have Summer break? Is that the 3 weeks? How does your school work?

    We go to school usually around mid August … until first week of June… then is summer break until August again

    Do you have corona cases where you are?

    Ours are on the rise currently 😳

    Did your school shut down at any point like ours did? Yes right?

    1. Omatra, My college has four semesters: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Winter and Summer are the shortest with a duration of six weeks making the two semesters so intense as a result. Spring and Fall are four months so not so fast. I choose to do a marathon so I can be done soon. 🙂
      Yes, because of covid everything was pushed online since March and looks like Fall is going to be online too, but I shiver when I hear politicians calling for schools to open asap 😦

    1. Kate, you are absolutely right and thank you for saying it. For the first time of my college life (well except for math) I have struggled to catch up and honestly, I kept coming back to blog when i should have focused 100%. 😦

    The thought of going from 0 Msededeng to 100 Msededeng in less than am month does thrill, though!
